Misty, true to her breed, likes to work. In the summer she chases crows off the blueberry bushes. She takes the initiative to go after Voles, Moles and Mice without leaving big holes in the blueberry field. She has treed a bear that was bothering us at night. She is our house doorbell by letting us know when anyone arrives!

On December 2, 2009 Misty gave birth to nine pups. She is a protective, caring mother!

Misty (sometimes called “the Mist” or Mystery) was a hero around the farm recently. She had treed a black bear who had come up a flight of stairs to our back door looking for food. The bear was never seen again after Misty chased him up a pine tree.
